Users with the Admin role can define eSOP templates by selecting "SOPs" and then "Add a new procedure" from the Admin sub-menu.
All eSOPs begin with a free-form introduction which you can use as you see fit. For many eSOPs this is the place to list materials and equipment that will be required and reference other pre-reading.
The body of the eSOP is a list of tasks. Add a task using the button, and re-order tasks by dragging the cross-hair symbol. Note that each task is allocated a Reference which does not change when tasks are re-ordered.
Tasks can be created with the following types:
|Instruction||Checkbox style tasks which only require confirming that they have been completed.|
|Question||Tasks which require the user to enter some information. A Question Type dropdown will appear allowing you to specify Text, Numeric or Multi-Choice questions. For Multi-choice questions, enter a list of possible answers separated by commas.|
|Picture||Tasks which ask the user to take a photo.|
|Scan sample / consumable / equipment||Tasks which ask the user to scan a QR code from a my.Cryochain label in order to identify a sample, consumable or piece of equipment.|
|Equipment data||Tasks which ask the user to select from recently uploaded procedure runs or manually import a file. This task type will require a reference to a previous Scan equipment task so that the system knows which instrument to pull data from or import data to.|
|Timer||Tasks which are expected to take a certain amount of time. Users will be presented with a timer that they have to manually start when ready.|
|Sample location||Tasks for storing the location of a sample or consumable in a storage vessel.|
|Protocol specification||Tasks which instruct users to select a particular instrument protocol. The task will render a visual representation of the protocol so that the user can confirm it matches their selection on the equipment.|
