Is my data backed-up?
Customers on the Starter and Scale-Up plans benefit from 7 day automated backups. This means that a complete backup of their data is performed every day during the defined maintenance period and these daily backup are held for 7 days. In addition transaction logs are recorded for every database change made during that day. By taking the most recent full back up and applying the transaction logs it is normally possible to restore the database to the state it was in at any given second in the previous 7 days.
Customer on the Scale-Up plan are able to chose when the daily back up is performed to minimise disruption to their service. For customers on the Starter plan backups are performed at a time of our choosing.
Customers on the On-Premise plans are responsible for their own backups in accordance with their IT policies.
Can I export my data to perform my own back-up?
Yes. Export of data in csv format is supported for each record type.
How long will my data be kept?
For customers on the Starter or Scale-up plans GE will retain customer data for three years after the last credit has been used.

What happens if a server fails?
Customers on the Starter and Scale-Up plans benefit from having multiple load-balanced servers which means that if one server is unavailable, traffic will automatically be routed to another server.
